For most Indian cities in summer, Speed 76 feather or Medium (Blue cap) nylon is correct. Bangalore, Pune, and Hyderabad need Speed 75 year-round due to higher altitude. North India winters and AC courts need Speed 77. Cold regions like Kashmir or Shimla need Speed 78 or Fast (Red cap) nylon.

Yonex uses a notation where the first number is the BWF speed (75–78) and the second is the Yonex internal grade (0–3). Speed 75/0 is the heaviest for hot or high-altitude conditions. Speed 78/3 is the lightest for cold dense air. Each step is about a 0.1g weight difference.
